The tank is coming close to completion as all I have left to do is install the glass viewing window and do a test fill! The glass is supposed to come in this week so I am just waiting. I can't wait to finish this project, but at the same time I don't want it to end. I hope this isn't my last tank build, but it might be for a little while. Here is a preview of what the tank will look like when it is all together!ImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1345233340.603741.jpg

Looks good man. What did you use to seal the inside and what kind of paint/dye did you use to color it? I have often kicked around the idea of building a plywood tank, but my wife would probably kill me...not that I'd let a thing like that stop me.

I used redgard to seal the inside and red is its natural color so no dye needed. However I don't want a red background so I am going to build one out of styrofoam like I have seen done on this website

The glass is completely silconed! I finished it last night and now I'm just waiting for it to cure. I can't wait to test fill it and get this tank going! I am wondering what I am going to do with the background now. Should I leave it red or make one?
