I upgraded to a larger fish tank and am now selling my previous pride & joy of 4 years. The glass aquarium itself is a standard 240 (8'x2'x2') made by Tenecor - one of the finest tank makers in the world. But what makes the set up a real head turner is the custom oak (not pine) stand & canopy.
It's constructed of solid wood, detailed & stained beautifully. The stand has 4 large doors that allow access to the filters underneath. The canopy has 5 electric ballasts on top & houses 6 compact flourescent bulbs (2 new ones, but the other 4 need to be replaced). Comes with 2 large Penn Plax Cascade 1500 canister filters (total of 700 gph) & a large CO2 canister.
It has always contained freshwater inhabitants. See the pics for various ways that it's been set up. No overflow, sump, holes, bulkheads, protein skimmer, etc. Must be able to pick up in Austin, Texas. The aquarium is VERY heavy & requires a minimum of 4 men to move it. Bring 2 trucks or a Uhaul. I would keep this forever if not for the much larger upgrade. $1500 OBO. PM if you're interested.
