WhAt's up everyone jus picked up a tru 240..with a really nice stand canopy..the problem is that he 8 foot section that the tank sits on as well as a few other places has some bad water damage..don't wanna risk it.. Should I jus have sum1 repair the damaged sections? I really don't wanna replace the whole stand cause of the really nice color of the stain.

Thanks!!

Pics of the damaged area would help.

I don't know how to post pics from my phone..but I can send them over email so if I can send them to somebody and have them post them for me that would really help...

Thanks!!

Looks like they used MDF for whatever reason. Doesn't take much (any) water to really mess up MDF.
From looking at the pics, it looks like a pretty easy fix. Just remove the base that the tank sits on, & replace it w/ some plywood or OSB.
The damage to the side of the canopy may or may not be an easy fix (can't tell how it's put together from the pics), but there really isn't much weight on that anyways. If the damage is more cosmetic than structual you could prob just leave it be. I would however coat any exposed MDF w/ a quality primer to help prevent any more damage.
