I finally think I can agree on a stock list that I would like and stop buying fish. Hopefully this is all that I will need for the next couple of years.

Here is what I have got.

240 gallon with Ocean Clear canister with 1100gph pump and an FX5 for filtration. 2 big power heads.

Stock:
1 Clown Knife
12-15 bichirs
4-8 Clown loachs +4"
2 fire eels
Marble Motoro ray
3 Salvini
Pike cichlid

Possibly my payara If I can get him on shrimp or crawlers.

Was also thinking of an aro (silver or black) and giraffe cat, but I already have alot of bottom fish. I would wait on the giraffe cat.

I already see a couple of problems that could happen, but am willing to risk it so far. I also got 2 dats, about 2"-2.5" that once they get bigger will go into there also.

I think the pike is gonna beat on your rays eyes

i think bichirs tend to do that to.

otherwise it sounds great! 12-15 bichirs! need pics!

pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like a very nice setup. Its a little overstocked though in my opionion, the ammount of ammonia produced by the ray alone is a lot, plus all of those bichers and a few more big fish, thats A LOT of waste. How big is the ray now? If I were you I would keep the ray, get a black aro, add a couple dats and your two when they get larger and move everything else to a different tank.

Give me 6-8 months for things to get a little bigger. I do have a photo lounge that has pics of most of the fish.

The ray is 6-8" so far, growing quick. Go with a black aro? The dats wont be in the 240 for a WHILE. Right now only I can only keep one tank.

dump the idea of the CK as it will outgrow the tank, salvini's and pike
personally i would do like 10 polys a ray a few dats and an aro maybe
