i am planning on buy a 240 gallon soon and wanted to see if bare tank or sand is better. the only sand that i will get will be the play sand. the tank is for some bichirs and a silver aro, if someone could help me that would be great!
I would say go with the sand, there will be a lot more sufaces for benefitial bacteria to be on. They help keep the water clear of nitrate and nitrite.
