Here.
Hello everyone,

Is that enough GPH for the 30G Wet/Dry to work efficiently? I heard for a W/D application 3 times turnover rate is enough. Whereas a canister filter 5-6 times turnover rate is needed.

I figure 240 x 3 = 720 - I fall right within the acceptable range.

What do you guys think?

Im putting together a 225 now and im using a 55g sump with 2 1000 gph pumps. I like to overfilter cause of messy fish.

You have an internal overflow? Mine can only go up to 1000 GPH max. I'll probably get a pump that does 960 or something.

yes i have an internal overflow with 3 1.5 bulkheads, so i can get as much as i need. Now that u mention the canisters your running too you shouldnt have a problem with turnovers. On my 225 the sump is the main bio filtration, and im running a cascade 1000 with custom plumbing for mechanical.
