Okay.... so I bought this tank 8 years ago ($200 as is) and it has been set up and taking down twice since (Military). The seal was starting to turn white and pealing and had spots of dried algae. Okay my question(s) is.... I seen tutorials and similar questions in forums saying use GE silicone 1 but there have been conflicting statements whether or not it was safe to use, so I used DAP aquarium safe. Can someone let me know if it was indeed safe to use for sealing and for fish? the label says other wise.
Question 2 there is a hold in the tank for sump outlet but I want to put a plug there that was there before. I've lost it in my move. It looked like a plastic bolt with a washer and nut. Can I get this from home depot?
Finally....Ideas. what should I stock it with? I gone to use 3 canister filters 1 eheim and 2 Tetras
