Hi Guys,

I need your advice...I have just purchased a 240g used w/out overflows and I need some help on filtering this thing.....

I was thinking if anyone has had good exp's
2 cascade cannisters, ac 110 (i tink its 110 rated for 75 gals?) and two in tank cans for bio?

Whats the good word?

I will be housing some larger species texas, jag etc...

Also where can I get some black gravel cheap?

A better way would be to get yourself a good pressure rated external pump, then hook it up to a Ocean Clear 354 polybead filter for bio and mech., then to a Lifegard AF-29 mech. module for final water polishing. All you need. Done!

Thanks Hillbilly, any idea of what that would run me $$$

Also available from Big Al's

Why not a sump? You can buy box overflows that HOB or you can make some cheap pvc overflows.

If you still do not want to do a sump i would go with two medium sized canisters, like xp3's and one large canister like a fx5, or large eheim.

I do have a tidepool sump hanging around got any good plans or a source to buy box overflows?

I would go with the Marineland S.O.S, sorry i could not find it at Bigals.

Or make your own pvc overflow.
