Truth be told your selection isn't going to look that good. (I assume you are saying 2 males of each fish, and if you are saying 1m, 1f, that is even worse.)

Basically you will have 1 of each fish maybe coloring up if you are lucky. So that means already half of your fish will be ugly, stressed, and well just not what you are likely envisioning. (And trust me 240 isn't big enough for them to be happy.)

Yellow labs are fine. I had a bunch, but slowly I have been pulling them out of my hap/peacock tank. Now I think I have 2 males only in mine.

I would take a look at what types of cool haps are out there. There are some amazing ones that you have overlooked, and there is plenty of room for them.

Anyways take a look here for some other types:

and here for peacocks:

Remember peacocks tend to pick on each other if they look too similar. (Causing one to hide there color.) Depending on the type of hap, they can hide there color, or they can just in essence kill each other, or they can be just fine... or all 3 at once.

Good luck, there are a ton of options out there for that size tank. Just do your research before you start spending money.

ok, im kinda thinking just too have mbunas. Would that be better?

Its a thought. Search male only hap/peacock tanks and you should see many options.

Doing an all-male mbuna tank is going to give the most options when it comes to variety of fish and variety of color. IMO

I kinda want too have females too so they will pair up, or will that just be world war 3?

There really are no malawis that "pair up". They are all harem fish. And most are very close to the same species to they hybrid. Hence you really should either do say 3-4 different species (1-2 males, ~6 females) or go all male. (Mbuna aren't quite the same, but well then you need often ~12 of the same type of fish.)

For some ideas of mixing see: http://www.cichlid-forum.com/articles/cookie_cutter_75g.php

There are a ton of places out there that give good advice. Personally I would either go for an all male tank, or an all male with say a breeding group of Fossorochromis rostratus. http://www.cichlid-forum.com/profiles/species.php?id=1079 or some other species that isn't likley to hybridize.
