Alright well i absolutley hate these hob overflows from aquatrader... there not what i exspected and will never used hob overflows again ( i'd rather make them, or drill the hole).

How hard would it be to drill through a 240gallon glass tank? i've delt with acrylic before but never glass.

thanks

~ matt

If your sure it's not tempered, check out CHOMPERS thread on how to do it.

Dr Joe

.

its probably tempered. but I cant stand these overflows so I gota do something.... all they do is suck water than 10 mins later get air bubles cought and dont suck enough....

I had the same problem.... I had a 120 and wanted to get wholes drilled, but the bottom was tempered. So I just drilled the one side of the tank, as I have almost all my tanks positioned perpendicularly from the wall...... I like the ability to see the tank from both sides..... ANYWAY......, I had a LFS do the drilling...., but the next one (if i ever get glass again) will be done by me.... CHOMPERS thread is a good one........ Good Luck

I actually prefer to have my tanks drilled on the side rather than on the bottom anyway....

same. only way i want them drilled on the bottom is if i have something covering it.
