Love the combo, specially those widebar..
Thanks gunmetal. Yeah I'm really lucky about the widebar SDs. I was about to buy 6x 3" ones for $20 each, but I found 6 of them at the LFS @ 2" and only $8 each. The owner said it was the first time he had ever gotten them in and I'm cool with him so he gave me a good deal.

Nice dats! I wish mine were that active! Just hide all the time.
Mine used to hide under the driftwood all the time, especially when the lights came on. It sucked. Even when I fed them, they would hide under the rocks and wait for food to be near them before they tried to eat it.
I think putting in dither fish like silver dollars makes a big difference. When I moved my dats and before I got the black bar SDs, they would still hide a lot, but after the black bar SDs were put in and started swimming around, all my indos felt safer. Even with the lights on

. A lot of it has to do with how the silver dollars are so quick to eat the food. If the indos weren't active, the SDs would get almost all of it. Also, it's really hot over here and I think the higher temps make them more active.

how much did those set you back? over here they are £30 each!
I bought them when they were babies (1/2 inch) around new year's day. I live in L.A. and they were cheap back then -- only $7 each. A few vendors on MFK had hundreds of them for sale and I bought a lot of them. I like them much more now that they're active and feel safe in a big tank.
