Hi All. I just received today in the rescue about 250 Red Devil cichlids. They are pretty close to 1-2+ inches in size. Some orange, some still black..some multi colors as they are changing. Very healthy, hardy fish. These fish will add to the rest of the rescues here at KARS: 3 silver dollars, a pair of green severums, green severum juvies, jack dempsey, 2 pirahnas, 4 pacus (two of which are 20+ inches), convicts, painted parrots, 2 large female blood parrots, 3 oscars, 3 plecos, guppies, platies and a few mollies. Oh yeah, a pain in the butt mean african cichlid that looks like a krib but isn't..still looking for an id. My camera broke so been borrowing the neighbors on occasion. So if you know anyone, a small adoption fee does apply to cover my costs. If nothing of interest to you but you would still like to help, there is a donation tab on every page of my website http://www.finnedfriends.com. Or you could send any type of food donation to:

BIG FISH eat LOTS OF FOOD! I have had two shoulder surgeries already this year and need a third before the end is up. With the tight economy and my injuries, I am still taking and driving to pick up unwanted fish and trying to find them new homes. A canister of food, a bag of cichlid pellets...anything will help and very much appreciated. We are non profit and donations are tax deductible.

Thanks!

Kelly

ps. All fish are for local pickup or local delivery only (Merrill, WI). Unless you pay for my gas to drive further. I have never shipped and don't know how. Thanks.

I have quite a bit of different foods, repackaged into other containers. I mixed various types for my grow outs, if you dont mind the repakage Ill send them your way.....

I couldn't find my thread. Thought it got deleted. Then there it was...a STICKY. That is so awesome and thank you for whomever did that. For those that don't me or what I do, I have started a non profit fish rescue almost 3 years ago. I also breed freshwater angelfish and any profits made from the angels helps to support the rescue. If it wasn't for the angels the rescue would have been dead a long time ago. With the tight economy for everyone, not to mention my health issues.....I have battled on and off for the last few months if this is even worth it anymore due to the fact I really haven't had much support. But I put all my money, hard work and BIG HEART into something I feel is very much needed.

You name it, and I am sure I have gotten it in the rescue. I apologize, but my site is lacking a little attention due to the fact my surgeries have been keeping me really busy with physical therapy. I tore both my shoulders (severely) trying to maintain this by myself. But it hasn't brought me down. It sure is hard to keep my attitude in check and thank God for a sister who yells at me at the times I want to throw in the towel. She says to me, you put your soul into what is a great cause. Don't give up. And I am trying very hard, so thank you for those who support what I do.

Weedamese thanks for the kind words at BOTR any kinds of foods would be wonderful cause as you can see I have quite a range of fish here. If anyone would like to see pictures of anything, I do have some...not the best .. but I do have some.

:)

Im in WI to might buy fish in the future

This is Great! and right in my own backyard! Welcome! And not to be nit-picky but it looks like your rainbow shark is actually what is known as a "Blueberry Botia" Everyone looks happy and sassy!

Thanks guys for the post. I am sorry, I haven't been around here much these past few weeks as my husband was involved in a serious car accident a few weeks ago. I am trying to get back on track here. For those that are here in Wisconsin, in Wausau this weekend CWAS (Central Wis Aquarium Society) is having its fall show/sale. It is being held at Gander Mountain in Rothschild. FYI.

Still in need of any type of fish foods. I just ran out of cichlid pellets tonight. My big mosters go thru them like mad. Got a whole bag of Hikari Sinking Med Pellets and they want no part of those. Need to go get some Floating ones. Remember, any type of donations are welcome. Still got a list of supplies left over from last years auction if anyone is intersted in seeing that posted again.

Hi Kelly, we're just up the road from you in Tomahawk. Would be glad to help out and adopt some fish. Also interested in your angels if you have any!

Hiya Mike and Carol! I just checked this and I just sent you a short email! What a coincidence. I promise to write more soon, maybe later tonight when things are settled down! So much going on. Still lots of fish waiting to be adopted. Lots of LARGER fish. Still have over 200+ red devils and smaller fish. Like to move as much as I can before our new water system gets into place. So please, make offers if interested.
