1 male veija melanura a group of thorichthys and a shoal of swordtails or sailfin mollies.
All are colourful, active,require the same water conditions and can be found together in nature.
If you like smaller fish,a huge shoal of tetras and some dwarf cichlids can be nice. I'm currently doing this and very pleased with the result.
There are loads of options, just depends what your in to.

Beautiful and active = Malawi or Goldfish. Nothing more active than that. If you have a good lfs, they'll help you get the tank, and order in the fish you want next time they do an order, it'll actually save you money on shipping.
