Keep looking and take your time something well come up

I know big tanks like that are usually hard to find in socal that are in decent condition... Its just hard to find big tanks, which was a problem for us, but we checked everyday for about two months... I agree it really just takes time to stumble on the right perfect one.

seeing that you waited less than 45 minutes to start bumping your thread, I'd be surprised if you have the patience to comb the area for good deals.
just buy a new one, less strain on your heart.

Here in the UK we have to get tanks over 5ft custom made for the most part. I know there are a couple of 6ft tanks on ebay and a couple of other sites but they have stupid height and depth that is little to no good for what most people keep in 6ft tanks.

I went with these for my 5x2x2 + sump. They made the sump all wrong so I am having to redo it but now I will have a 30x18x18 tank to play with once I swap sumps over. They were also a pain about delivery and refunding £20 for some equipment that didn't arrive for 2 months after delivery, it took a further 4 months to get back the £20. 3 year tank warranty though, only stipulation is that it must rest on at least 10mm of polystyrene but it doesn't have to be one of their bases.

I enquired with these. Their marine set ups are ridiculously more expensive and if you mention you want a sump they try to force you into buying the more expensive marine set up when there is no need to. They try to say it is because you need the slightly taller stand for the sump and the hole for the pipes to come from the tank.

This guy answers promptly but I am unsure of his warranty and insurance credentials if one of his tanks destroys your sitting room. Cheap tanks & sumps. Comes across as a hobbiest making some money but I could be wrong.

Your wrong firstly it was nearly two hours later if you look again. Secondly I bumped to get a reply and when I did bump I got a immediate reply.! So at least know what your saying before you post it.

The patience point still stands. This site is dominated by Americans and you need to work around their time zone if you want a fast reply or lots of replies, I find posting from 1800 hrs onwards is best imo. You don't need to bump after just one and a half hours because there is not that much activity during the UK daytime so your posts will not get lost, once a day is usually fine. It is purely coincidence that I saw your post right after you bumped it.
