the dirty south
hey guys my friend has a 250 gallon and he is wondering if his stock list is good and if you guys have any advice on it or problems with it he has a big pond that he will most likely be moving the fish that get to large to heres what he is thinking, 3 peacock bass, jaguar, dovii, freddy, red tail catfish or sun cat or tiger shovel nose, and a pike most likely and orange or cobra if he can find them but either way some kind of pike so what do you guys think?

not even if they are all raised from babies?

You could could try but long term they're not nice. Depending on the sexes you might end up with a pair of the parachromis then you're in trouble. Some peacock bass keepers could give advice on the bass but idk if really aggressive cichlids mix with the bass

1. Rtc is way too big. 3.5-4ft big. Will not work.

2. Dovii is in my opinion the most ferocious fish you can keep, and they get very big. That will kill everything.

3. Freddy and jag are also very aggressive and unless the bass have some decent size they will also not work.

pair of parchromis? sorry im not to big on cichlids hahaha

Jags, dovii, and Freddy are all parachromis species and can cross breed. So say your jag is female and the Freddy or dovii is male. she could pair up with either and wreak havoc in the tank

oh damn yeah that would suck thanks for the info man! greatly appreciated

It's not horrible stocking just don't add dovii and get a catfish that's not a rtc. With those two gone only issue I see is jag and Freddy aggression but other than that its good
