my 8" oscar wont leave my green terror alone so i was wondering if you guys think i could put him in with the gar for a little while. i think the oscar is too big to be eaten by him but i dont wanna come home to no more oscar. i feed the gar fresh tilapia, haddock, cod, shrimp and whatever other type of fish i find at the grocery store so he hasnt eaten a live fish in some time. i've gotta do something, so any response is appreciated. thanks guys.

Idk but i saw a baby gar we caught in canda we stay for 2 weeks. For fishing then come home. But i caught it in a net. And i put a minnow in with it. Minow was decent size and it ate it. Just wanted to say ma story

doesn't mater if it never ate live fish if you give it a chance it might...if the oscar look like it will fit in the gars mouth i wouldn't put it in there...if it doesn't then try it but be ready to save it just in case...watch the gar when you float the oscar if it ignores it you might be ok...if it tries to eat it obveouly not good...gl with the fishes

If the oscar fits, your Gar may eat him.
My 10" Oscar is pretty close with my 12" Spotted Gar, but if there's a sinificant size difference, your Gar may not be so friendly.
Please post some pics, I'd love to see a florida of that size!
