okay i got 260 gallons maby 300 but that wold only make the tank taller. Right now its planned to be 6 ft long, 2 ft tall and 3 ft wide. I can add another foot to the tank. But im really looking for the smallest species of pbass that i can get. I was thinking Monos, oris, or oces. How many can i put in here? Witch species? And any tank mates? i was thinking of adding like a Gold Saum? or a Uara?

yuo can put 6 of them in there and then weed them out ... maybe even a few more... monos, orinos and ocell are all swett species... orinos and monos being my fav... mix them uup!
so if i do 3 mono, 3 orinos, and then 1 arrowana or 1 black ghost knife. or another oddball would it work? i would be willing to drop one of the pbass to occumpy the other option. So what to feed? is there aggresion between the pbass?
there shouldnt be too much agression with 6, one dominant male will take up the lead as alpha male and sort out the heiracrchy between all the cichla, i reckon you should be ok with 6 cichla and an aro for sure.. youve got a wide tank it will work out fine..

Yeah there is aggression between the Pbass. They gotta establish who is king dingaling in the tank. In my limited experience they will chase and nip other species of fish, but they will really display some gill flaring and real aggression towards eachother untill an alpha is established. Youll know who it is, he will keep everybody else in full check.
Around 6 Pbass would be fine may be 1 or 2 larger ones (i.e. Tems) then a few smaller sp. I personally would put something that will grow faster than a GT or Uara. The Pbass will out grom them in a heartbeat and they may become a snack. Try a pike or a nice catfish. My Pbass wont feed from the bottom of the tank so a cat could have clean up duty. My pike has begun to feed from the bottom so there's an option.
Finally, ensure you have adequate filtration Pbass are notorious waste machines, so you'll need to allow for that especially as they get BIG.
