Should I get it used for $100 in need of a bulb replacement? Are PC's very good, or is there anything better for around that much money? Im trying to grow carpet plants in a 55g. Thanks, John

Depending on what kind of carpet you are looking for, it will, but co2 will be needed.

Gotta break away from the common plants. Try to branch out to newer plants that are less used.
