I was planning on doing sw with this setup but decided against it.

Footprint: 84*24*30

Planning on keeping a trio or pair of ??????????
What kind of stingray can be kept in this size of a tank?
I was thinking Yepezi or retic or hystrix? Out of these, which one is the hardiest and more avialable?

For tankmates, i really like gars, which ones would be suitable?

Any other tankmates suggestions welcomed, I really like schooling fish.

Filtration would consist of 2 emperor 400s, a penn plax canister filter, fluval fx5 and a ac 110. Does this sound sufficient?

Thanks

Filtration sounds like it will be okay, don't forget airstones. As far as life, retics, hystrix, scobina are the smallest rays and maybe okay. But it can be a growout for motoros, flowers, tigers and leos.

As far as gars, I like white tropical gars. But I think you would have to worry about the gars out growing your tank than the rays. Gars grow faster than rays.

Florida gar(s) would be OK in a 265 for life, longnose and trop would need bigger (wider).
