Hello guys and girls, I'm new to the forum. I just brought a 270 gallon glass tank. It is a predrilled tank it has 5 holes. I was wondering which filter will work best. It will be freshwater tank. It will be housing two peacock bass, tiger shovle nose hybrid catfish and a retail catfish. I have experince on both canister and wet dry filter. I read somewhere that you cannot use the a canister filter on a predrilled tank is this true?

you can use a canister with a drilled tank you can either plumb it through the holes and plug one up. or just plug them up completely, and use the intake and out flow that comes with the canister. as for your stock im not sure i would go with a red tail those get bigger than your tank can hold. maybe you should reconsider the cats.

You can use a canister. Check out Bigalsonline or ThatFishPlace for a good deal on wet dry systems. Also look at the Eheim 2262 at BigAlsonline.
