I have a good offer for a 270 gallon and wanted to know if this stocking is good and if I can add more
tank dimensions are 76inch by 26inch by 30inch
4-6 oscars
10-15 Silver Dollars
Fire Eel or
maybe add a silver arowana until he gets to big if its not to hard to get him a new home

Dovii M and F. Lol.

Oscar's are nice but eating machines.
Fun fish active fish like perhaps gts. Dempsies or Texas cichlids are nice too they are crazy fun to watch Oscar's are very do silent at least the ones I've had were.
Jaguars are awesome as well but don't play nice with other breeds.

I would ask what your goal is. Do you want a community of different species? Maybe a pair and lots of dithers like Rocksor Rocksor suggested? Or maybe a solo monster like a dovii?

Lots of options for a 270 gallon. If you really want Oscars and want to do 4-6 of them, that should be fine, though not much room for other fish. I'd skip the arowana for sure. Some SD's and a fire eel should be OK with the O's.

Only attempt the arowana if you have somewhere to go with him when he gets to big. Don't depend on getting a larger tank someday. In my experience you always say you'll get to it and then you find yourself with a grown out fish in a small tank and nowhere to relocate him to.

I would go for 6 oscars, see if 2 pair up, and rehome the other 4. I would seriously max out the SDs and do 15. They act way more confident in a large shoal.

Skip the arowana if your long term plan is to rehome it.
tht was my original plan i think im gonna do tht and get a fire eel or albino bristle nose to chill on the bottom

Be prepared to spot feed the fire eel, and if the bristlenose is what you get, feed with lights off. SD's are notorious for destroying food until nothing is left, and a large shoal may not even let any food remain sitting on the bottom of the tank. I had a group of 5 that starved out my 10" pleco because it could not find the wafers on the bottom is less than 2 minutes.

Agree with rock about the SD's I hated my group. Super skittish but once food was present they were eating machines. They would even outcompete my Oscar

I would reconsider 4-6 Oscars. At least.if you want other fish. I know the tank sounds big I thought the same thing when I got my 300 and tbh it really isn't.

I'd go with 2 Oscars actually if it were my tank it be be 1 O if I were to keep other fish.
