hehe I was paying over $200 a month to feed my monsters the way I wanted them to be fed....It was time for a change.

Very cool Idea.. I'd never do it simply because I have limited space and if I must choose between monsters and a MONSTROUS com with (jmo) less fun fish I go with the monsters any day..

If I had the space, ABSOLUTELY, but unfortunately I don't..

I was thinking the same. He will eventually realized the tank is too empty and get some monsters. Once you have monsters fish you can never go back to feeder community fish.

$200 a month??? What kind of monsters did you have? You probably have pacus and catfish that eat like dump truck. I would've downsized and got smaller monster than going the opposite.

I think your monster comm. tank is awesome!

Im currently working on stocking my 180g with some comm. fish as well. Def. takes some time to collect so many fish...

LOL sorry to have to blow your guys' theory completely out of the water but Ive been keeping fish for almost 18 years and monsters took up most of that time span.
