I was wondering what everyone thinks about this. I have a guy wanting to sell me a custom 270g diminsions are 7ft x 36in x 30in i believe. It comes with a custom stand and canopy 3 36" duel 96 watt pc's trigger systems sump and protein skimmer and about 500lbs of live rock. He is asking 1000.00 for the setup but told me I could pay 500.oo and do maint. on his other tanks for a month and call it even. What do you all think? If I get it I have to sell my 135g so let me know what you all would do.

I think that is an incredible deal!! Id go for it although doing maint on his tanks sounds a little weird to me but that's a nice sized tank for some smaller monsters. Get it!
If I had the money and was looking for another larger tank I would get it. Only after looking at it. The word custom scares me sometime. Make sure it is well built. I think it is a pretty good deal.
He is a regular customer at the lfs i work at so it's not that weird lol. I was thinking would be great tank for my tsn, rtc, spotted/florida gar and arowana's to grow for a bit in till I got my indoor pond made.

Yeah it's a custom oceanic 270g. It came out of the wall of my lfs and was a show tank there for awhile. when my boss sold it he had a awsome stand and canopy made for it and had all the scratches buffed out.
Lol i guess its not that weird then. Ye go for it there is nothing as satisfying as giving your monsters an upgrade and watching them discover how much more room they have, that sounds like an amazing collection of fish i would deff do it.
