Hey folks...After several years of working through higher priority projects, I'm finally starting on my tank build. I wanted to post a basic tank framing design for comments to see if there is anything you guys can recommend that I haven't thought of...Let er rip!

Will do ;-)...I'm picking up the lumber for the stand this week. Not much to discuss there- Just a dense frame of 2x12's...I do want to make sure I haven't missed anything on the main tank though!

OK so now I'm having a Acrylic viewing pane dilemma. I priced a 4x10 sheet of 2" thick and was budgeting for that (about $3k shipped to me) and then a friend told me it;s probably the crappy imported stuff and I should only use Polycast. He said the other stuff yellows over time and is structurally inferior. Can anyone comment on that?

I have an offer for a Poly-cast sheet that is 65x99for roughly the same price...I can't say I like the size though. I made a scale drawing showing the difference on the wall it will be built into...

I imagine that a larger foot print would be better for your sharks. i wouldnt settle for the wrong dimensions just because the price is the same.
