hey im wondering if i could keep these fish toghether. Im thinking like 1 trimac, then getting 4 vieja argentina and 1 fish of like three other vieja species all males then having the vieja argentina be in two pairs or sumthing simular.

What do you think? what should i use as decor? and whats some dithers i could use i was thinking of like maby six or so male cons or firemouths, or maby a group of jack dempseys.

What do you all think?

i think that would all work, except the last part.
i'd go with tigerbarbs and silver dollars for dithers instead of cons firemouths or jacks.

i'd go with a rocky setting with lots of hiding spots with some plants and black sand.

yea okay, well actually would like a mix of swordtails and mollies would work i know molliles do berst w salt but they should be mostly okay right?

Another thing im looking at picking up 2 fluvel fx5s for filtration whats a good price to pay for used units?

Lastly if i add floating plants and maby sprinkle in some java ferns on a few pieces of driftwood would it be hardy enough to live for the most part? I know it wont will probably be nibbled at but it will add a little bit of green to the tank

I wouldn't get 4 of the Viejas to keep permanently, I'd leave at at a pair if one develops, or if not, single specimen

its 6 feet long, 3.5ft wide and 2 feet tall. Well instead of the 4 vieja argentina, and get like another species of vieja or sumthing maby add a chuco godmanni and then like a nic.
