heres my 29 gal. tank. i kept 2 guppies in it after putting my bullhead in my pond so i wouldnt have to re cycle it.

i want a couple fish with color that dont get too big for the tank but arent really small and pathetic. i dont want africans or anything that likes to redecorate like rockbass and green sunfish. any suggestions?

Could be a nice setup for Angels.;)

firemouths, well they do redecorate a little but are worth it

You could put in a jewel cichlid or a Powder blue Jack Dempsey. They both don't need salt, they don't decorate(atleast my don't) and they are GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!! Don't get both, choose one or they may fight!

Convicts...
get a nice GT

or if you not looking for chiclids how bout some exodons!!

or mabye some of the smaller puffers

all depends on were your trying to go with it

A pair of salvinis would be very pleasing:D
firemouths would look good as well. It would also serve as a good growout tank. (dempseys will get too big for it eventually IMO)

The biggest powder blue jack dempsey I've ever seen was about 9 in. The owner said it was 7 years old! It stopped growing 2 years ago! It would definitely not be too big!
