29 gallon metal stand

I picked up this tank and stand yesterday off of craigslist. I have another 29 id like to put on top im not sure if the stand will support both tanks. Its a Snug fit for certain with the bottom tank not sure if it was meant for it or not. I have to decide if I should use this stand or build one from wood. Id appreciate any comments and information.

Looks like all the weight of the bottom tank will be on the ground. So the only weight concern is the top tank. Set a board on it and stand on the thing. Your looking at 250-300 pounds for a full tilt 29 gallon tank.


If the bottom tank is too snug consider putting it on the top and finding a 20 gallon Long for the bottom. It has the same footprint as the 29. but is only 12" tall instead of 18".

Looks like it would hold another 29 gallon on top for sure
