going to be setting up a standard 29 gallon tank. my idea was to drill it and for the time being hooking up a canister possibly with media maybe empty and just used to help move the water then down the road and i have everything in order with a sump it is ready to go. i have a aqueon 70 HOB that i can use for filteration also. i like the clean look of a tank thats drill with a sump but also have heard/read that with enough LR and water movement filter isnt needed.

so what does everone think drill or dont drill???

I wouldnt waste your time drilling a 29gal. Personally i would just get 35lbs of LR and dont use filters

My 210 is drilled, my sump is drlled so I could use a larger external pump - works great! But it's not 29 gal -get yourself 2x 150gph in tank Hydro powerheads and a HOB skimmer - the canister and aqueon aren't designed to handle the abrassive material in saltwater.
