29 gallon stock? Again

Well I've come to the decision to sale my vieja mutt,I can incorporate it into any other tank. So that opens up my 29 gallon. Want a small community, no cichlids preferably and no shrimps or plecos. Tank is near direct sunlight and unheated but remains consistent for tropical fish. Hoping for something simple and common, not going to extravagant on this. All suggestions welcome, help a brother out.

I love the snakeskin barbs in my 29 community (Rhomb barbs), probably some of my favorite fish in there. I dig black neon and penguin tetras too.

Interesting could they intermix with gouramis and if so what species

Puffers?? There are some small fresh water ones that can live in groups I believe one that starts with an O if that helps
