I now have an newly empty 29 gallon tank and im wondering(again) what to do with it and im considering africans. I would like to keep either a active setup with quite a bit of fish(species tank?). Or a single almost wet pet fish(probably can't do that one). I really like the look of calvus or comprisseps(sp?) but Im pretty sure they get too big. Any suggstions welcomed from all lakes.

Not nescesarily looking for a breeding setup but if the fish are interesting then maybe. Don't want to be stuck with a ton of fry I can't get rid of.

Shellies are always nice for that sized tank. You could also grow out a calvus or comp (I'm currently doing this with a 20 long), they take a loooonnnggggg time to get too big for the tank.

Thanks. im looking for a permanent setup so I will take comps and calvus out of the mix. I have been looking at occealtus gold shell dwellers because they seem the most interesting of the shellies. How many could I keep in this setup? I know they are pretty aggressive. Could I fill the top layer with anything considering the height of the tank?
