my chinchilla died today

had her for 12 years, since i was seven.

****ing possum got into her cage and killed her.

poor thing died in my hands

i still dont even know how it did that, the spring latch has to be lifted pretty hard for it to open.

my dad beat the **** out of it (the possum) with a metal baseball bat.

i didnt even think that was right, a life for a life maybe for people, but its just an animal so i felt sorry for the possum. :(

*sigh*

Sorry about your loss, it is hard to lose a pet.
I can't feel much sympathy for the possum though, there are more now than ever and they are nasty animals, A neighbor lost a cat and a litter of kittens to one and I almost lost a cat. My cat managed to kill the possum but almost died from it's wounds.

that sucks del soory bout your loss

RIP. thats some rough justice.

OMG THE FEMALE HAD BABYS IN HER POUCH AND THEY ARE ALIVE!!!!!

DAMNIT I DIDNT WANT THIS, THE MOMS IS DEAD AND NOW THE BABYS ARE COMING OUTSIDE HER POUCH, THEY DONT EVEN HAVE ALL THERE HAIR YET!!!!

I HATE MY DAD, AND HE JUST THREW THEM IN THE TRASH!!!!!!!!

WHY DID HE KILL IT??? HE TOLD ME BECAUSE HE WAS PISSED!!!! and now more are gonig to die for no reason, jsut because he was angry.

WHAT CAN I DO??????

sorry for your loss.

wow sorry about ur chinchilla. too bad for the possum too...but i guess what goes around...

so too bad for the possum babies.

is it possible for you to become the mother? maybe make a makeshift pouch and feed them? just a thought.
