I know i know, but i got it for free. Anyone know anything about the filtration on this thing. I am gonna just use it until i get something bigger. Only gonna have one cichlid in there (and thats it) like a JD or GT. Anyone have any idea on how well these things really work? My friend who gave it to me used it and didn't like it. I read some stuff about not enough filtration for saltwater but i have no idea. Any ideas, anything? If you are gonna just say get rid of it please don't bother. Cant really afford anything and my friend wanted someone else to talk to about fish so he threw it my way. i do not even have any water in it yet I'm waiting to figure out what i need and what i want to do.

Any input would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks a bunch,
Steve

any information, horror stories, EVERYTHING would be great but i am really worried about filtration.

I have a 12G nano tank at work (FW, planted), and if there are any "horror stories" about them, I'm not telling 'em . . . I think it works great

in my 12G I kept a betta for about 2+ years . . . a 29G nano might make a nice home for a pair of rams

Thanks a bunch guys... sold my 125 way back when for super cheap and been regretting it ever since. Im gonna tear up this biocube until i get sick of it and i know that wont be long. i heard about putting powerheads in there ot make the flow a little better but i need to figure out where the exact best point would be.

I have a 29Bio. I used it to keep a nice community tank for my ex and it worked fine. If your really worried about the filtration just replace the bio balls with Matrix and in filter bag, and upgrade the pump if you want.

I currently use mine as a hospital tank, but I have been wanting a FH or GT and now that you mention it guess whats going in there :-) thanks.

29cub is way too small for a GT or JD imo...
i agree completely. I am just going to use it as a grow out tank and when i get the new one it will probably end up being a hospital.
