i just bought a 29g, and got a pair of rainbow darters, i also went to the river, and caught some bluntnose minnows, i handpicked them, so i think theyre okay

first question, is it okay if my male is eating the minnows? hes not really eating them, more like biting and killing

this got me thinking, is it safe to put in another pair of different species darters? my LFS ordered these rainbows in from New York, and since they liked em ordered in another dozen pairs, and those seem to get along okay in the 55 they have, id like a pair of orangethroats

also, what are some other native fish i can put in? im thinking from a petstore, not much to catch here. I was thinking a corydoras (at least it LOOKS native) or some other small fish

The collest darter I ever collected was a freckled darter. We shocked it up in the middle if the leaf river in southern Mississippi, it was around 6 inches long.

lol, im gonna get a permit for a shocker someday lol

lucky bastad

unfortunately, i dont have any darters in Idaho, so i have to order them in, and the only types i can get are orangethroat and rainbow, i can catch several types of sculpin though, torrent, spoonhead, mottled, bear lake (endangered, protected), deepwater

and a couple others

umm, you dont happen to have the recources to ship fish do you? id like some black banded, and your location has several other fish that i would like to own

I am licensed to sell and ship natives. PM me and let me know what you are interested in.
