I currently have 1 Ocellaris clown fish. I special ordered 1 Black and White Ocellaris clown, I know they might not get along. My LFS could only get a mated pair in. He will not sell them separately to me. So my only option is to get both or none. Can I keep my current clown with the mated pair? Or is it almost certain that they will fight? I would like to get all 3. I would have a 1 Coral Beauty, 1 Lawnmower Blenny, and the 3 clowns. I know thats pushing it with the stock, but would it work? Thanks in advance.. http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=15+27+137&pcatid=137

it could work if they pick opposite ends of the tank try adding an anemone for the single and the pair to make them host where you want them too.

It could but the pair we dominate the tank in time. If they are at a young age like under a 1"1/2 then you wil be fine. Forget if your pushing it. I don't consider your list pushing it, as long as your filteration can handle the load then your fine. And you could always order them online instead of having a middle man(lfs)

If you order online then there is still a middle man. LiveAquaria.com is a middleman. They get their fish from the same wholesalers LFS's do.

I do agree the pair will dominate, it will just be a matter of them deciding they don't want the other in the tank or not. Did you buy Tank Raised? You will have better luck if you did. Really should buy Tank Raised anyway on clownfish. I don't recommend wild clownfish to anyone, why take from the oceans if we don't have to.

Most large LFS's should be able to give you competitive prices...even if they are a bit more, it makes sense because there wont be shipping.

Only reason I would order fish online is if it benefited me greatly...or if I was buying something expensive I couldnt get locally. (To the extent of free shipping along with added availability.)

Well I decided to return my current clownfish and buy the pair, I don't want to risk them not getting along. Buying online is not and option for me as far as livestock goes, I'm currently living in Italy and have not found a website that will ship to me. I order alot from Liveaquaria for supplies and what not. I'm not sure if they are tank bred or not, I think they are, but i'm not positive, due to the fact that they on't speak very much english. Everything is really expensive over here, but thats just the way it is. Thanks for the help.. I will post some picks of my new clowns when I pick them up.
