29g tank ideas

Got today off so what do I decide to do… clean a 29g tank to set up ? my mom hates the idea but isn’t saying no to it. I just got all the gravel out and a everything cleaned up but now don’t know what to do with it. I’m wanting a sand substrate with a pufferfish or something but not sure what kind. You can try pea puffers and figure eights I guess. Those are the 2 most common ones in my experience.

Your mom will probably wonder why you have an empty fish tank with sand and rocks if you get that.

Was thinking figure 8 puffer as well. Make sure it's well cycled first, I've never kept but my understanding is that they are sensitive to poor water parameters.

Fig 8 needs brackish. Look into Amazons for a forgiving puffer as far as water goes, but their diets are more specialized.
Avocado needs a big tank and strong flow.
I agree that dwarf or redeye is best for an easier puffer.
Schoutodini is one of the best if it weren’t so expensive.
