29gal. cichlid options

Just got a new 29 gal. long tank and was thinking of putting some colorful cichlids in it can i get some suggestions on species and numbers?

i would say convicts, they are really the only fish that can actually thrive in a tank that small, probably get a breeding pair, that should entertain you enough. i know that most cichlids get pretty big and convicts don't really get to big and have the character most cichlids have.

the only problem with convicts is that before long you will have more than two if you get a breeding pair

get african cichlid. they r colorful but i kinda think they r a wee bit boring.

i have a 27 gal with johanni' in it i think they are interesting they always dance for a feed. pretty messy, so frequent cleans will be needed though
