So after the 2nd day
Ammonia .25-.35 ish
Nitrite the same .25-.35 ish
Nitrate 5-6 ish

0 signs of stress besides the 2 guppies seem like they are ready to pop so they are breathing a little heavy.

Kind of surprised these numbers are were they are for the 2nd day with fish? The tank was set up for a few days with probably 4 or 5 95% wc. I am wondering if my old sand has a lot of organic material left to decompose. I really did t expect to see any numbers on the charts yet to be honest.

480 with small stock of
6 medium sized mollies
6 big swords
3 small swords
2 female guppies (pregnant)
3 Tiny little Raphael cats

Used a bottle of Stability already and about 1/4 bottle of Nite-put. No established media added (which is a first for me). Prime on hand and dosed a tad earlier. I will probably do a 50% WC tomorrow.

Been a long .... very long time since I have had to worry about cycling a tank. Feels good though.

The good old API freshwater master test kit. Sarcasm with the "good old"... really I should not say that as I used it years back and never had any issue.

The Stability was used probably 4 hours prior to last test. I didn't think that could change anything to be honest. I feel like an fng all over again :)

Just read about Stability. They claim for 'rapid instant tank cycling'. Even though not getting fully cycled, it will give some beginning or intermediate levels readings, and I have experienced myself and have used Stability along with moving fish to new tanks.

I seriously consider Stability as reason, in this case.

Thanks. Well, I will assume it is working then. Sorry, at first I was thinking that it was giving false readings from the Stability. So Stability is probably doing it's thing.

Your welcome. Keep up the water changes, monitor parameters, you should be good with it. It may take a few weeks to get it completely cycled.

Just curious. You think I should do another bottle? Or let it go at this point? Just wc?

50% wc today and 8oz of turbo start 700.... damn that is expensive and the last bottle of bugs I will add. We will let it run its course. Wc and prime if needed of course.
