Currently have a FX5, aquaclear 110/500, and a Fluval U4 (fluval submersible up to 70g I think), and a uv sterilizer
I'm thinking of just running the fx5, but don't trust that will be enough. I like to see the current move in the tank, so to speak. Thus I have the aquaclear on one side, FU4 on the other side, and fx5 and uv sterilizer in the middle.
I'm thinking of putting the fx5 on one side...but to replace the other 2 filters with what?? fluval 305/405/or what I've been thinking of...another fx5.
My tank is well stocked, not necessarily overstocked, but def not understocked.
Sand substrate. Using this tank as a grow out tank. No corner overflows, so no sump. Been thinking of rigging a sump tho somehow...
I'm kinda tired of the waterfall noise from the aquaclear. Tanks on a concrete floor, however slants so there's nothing I can really do about that.
I guess my main q is will the tank be ok with a 305? Will the water be oxygenated enough esp for the bottom feeders?
A bubble wand is out of the question. Heaters are not safe in this tank, so I know a bubble wand would be destroyed time and time again
currently have (strange arrayment)
3... 9" irridescent sharks
4" redtail shark
6" rtc x tsn
8" achara x tsn
4" giraffe catfish (major pooper)
4....2-3" clown loaches
3...3" hoplo catfish
9" oscar
4" albino polypterus
4... 3" jurupari cichlids
4... 4" fancy goldfish...dont ask (major poopers)
3" dwarf whiptail
6" royal whiptail
2" rhino pleco
3" pleco
as this is a grow out tank, in the long run the rtc x tsn, achara x tsn, jurupari, ID sharks, and a pleco will all be moved within the next couple years...but, in the meantime...
