2nd flowerhorn, ID please

what kind of flowerhorn is this ? hes about 2 inche or so.. about what size we can know if its a male or female ?

will i notice any difference if i feed him with grand sumo vs other brand like tetra etc?

anyone knows where i can find grand sumo in montreal or around toronto ?

You have ZZ (pearly) flowerhorn. The earliest will be 3.5"-4" if the head pops out then it's a male, some late bloomer male don't get a hump until 6". As for female fh, if it lays eggs then you know its a girl or vent at 4".

IMO it doesn't matter what foods you feed as long as it's cichlid food it should be okay. Hikari and NLS (New Life Spectrum) brands is very popular for every day stable Fh's. A lot of people will say it's all in the genes which I would agree with them. I only see a small difference when using grand sumo on my fh's but others has used and saw a big improvement so you have to try it to know. I believe Grand Osaki is the new grand sumo and works the same. Your best bet will be ordering thru the internet. GL
