I would of kept them in a smaller tank. I made the mistake of keeping 10 monos in a 180gal tank (6x2x2). The reason I made the mistake was that most couldn't find the food I was dropping in.

So, IMO, A small tank would help your bass find food better. But if your bass are feeding fine, then I would grow them out in there current home.

Whilst i agree with haynchinook334 i think they will find the food ok in a 4 foot tank and the little extra room will do them good - i'd make the move now as long as its all set up and ready.

Certainly wouldn't advise you to rush into moving if the filters aren't mature (assuming its new filtration)

hi all thanks for the replys filters are mature running fx5 on smaller tank at mo been running for well over a year i have had big bass in the past rays and all sorts this will be there home for the next year i reckon, i was just worried as when i have had piranhas in the past like rhoms and that i moved them to bigger tanks they tend to go all shy, my peacock bass wait at the top of the tank every morning as soon as i lift the lid they are there waiting for the food to hit the water they are pretty well trained in that manner lol, i will be adding a couple more bass to the new tank with them around the same size once i have moved them i will post up some pictures :)
