Hi

Would a metal stand using 2x2" box section steel be strong enough to support a 120x36x36" tank? Or a 120x48x30"? I would also use the space underneath the tank to house a 60x18x18" sump.

regards

if engineered right and reinforced real good i dont see why it would not hold

give me a drawing and i can run the numbers real quick, include dimensions and the wall thickness of the steel.

If thats too much for you the simple answer is yes; if you brace it against buckling you most likely would be able to park your car on it

*edit* I assume we are talking about a welded stand, if you are not going to weld and want to do bolted connections just do timber

that will def do the job
