3” Blue Gene Jack Dempsey’s Spawn again!

My two Blue Gene JD’s have spawned for the second time now in a month. I was really surprised the first time because they are only about 3” long but I just figured it to be a fluke. But last night I noticed just a ton of eggs in their pot again. Last time she only laid about 200-300 eggs at best but this time she has laid a TON of them, I’m guessing around 800 or more because by the time they were done the entire bottom of the pot was covered. Here is a few shots of my Jacks last night and their new batch.

Congratulations! Hopefully they turn out to be good parents!

The last batch they had was in a community tank and they ended up having to fight off convicts, flowerhorns and catfish! They lost a few in the battles before I realized what was going on.. I removed the remaining fry and placed them in a 20gal fry tank separating them from the parents. I have about 30 EBJD's now around 1/2" from that first batch... From what I can tell, their all tan / opaque and from the research I have done and photos I've seen they ALL appear to be EBJD's..??

This time for this batch their in own tank alone and I will leave the fry in longer with the parents.

****Experts*** Since I'm new to this can someone please post a photo of a young (4 week) fry EBJD, BGJD & JD for me (one of each would be ideal) so I can try and separate the fry when the time comes??? I've done some research but still don't feel confident I can separate them correctly at the 4 week mark..

Congrats on your second spawn.:)
Post pics of your fry. If they are four weeks old I should be able to tell you what you have.
