3 1/2" GT guarding eggs??

My 3 1/2" female GT is guarding EGGS!!??!!

Last week she snapped (I thought) and started attacking her tankmates. A 8" common pleco, and a 11" tiretrack eel. Had to reloacate them. Today I find there is a whole nest of eggs on a rock on the inside of one of the caves.

HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?? I am totally confused. What should I do?

Sometimes females lay eggs with out a male being present and they eventually die and get eaten or get covered in mold...

yeah.. she might be laying infertile eggs cus theres no male...... get her one :].. then youll have lots of baby gts

COOL !! How do I tell the diference between the male and female?

Male GT usually have more color around the fins and have long pointy fins.
