The iconic green 1968 Mustang that Steve McQueen drove in the movie Bullit recently sold for 3.4 million dollars at Mecum auto auction. The Highland Green GT fastback that tore up the streets in the movie sold at auction in Florida. The final price was $3.74 million including buyer's premium.

The most famous Mustang in the world is also now the most expensive Mustang ever.

I love the nostalgia but let's face it, some people just have lots of money and spend as they wish.
I'd rather have the new Shelby rather than this thing.
I admire people that drive their cars. Not just boast about them.
Plus we are in the age that many people don't even know who Steve McQueen was.

Good points,I wouldn't mind getting a current Bullit model in a few years after the price drops a bit.

Hmm i have the same car. Not the one in the movie but painted to match. 1 million sounds nice

Very cool car but even I feel I hadn't the $ I think it's far too expensive.
How much is a similar aged and specced mustang worth in the US?
We got the new model in Australia a few years back, first time a mustang was readily available and affordable from a standard ford dealer. Seemed very cool but now there's so many on the road they've become bit of a cliche.
