Where the gators are
Alright so ive been talkin about doin this for awhile now and the other day i finally broke ground and started this project. The pond is going to be roughly 15'x10 and 4' deep. Theres more work than i thought was going to be. I have got the old 150 gallon plastic pond out of the ground and have started breaking up the flagstone that was mortared in. Its been there since the house was built and that was way before we moved here so i didnt know it was 5 inches thick. The whole thing is being done by hand and mostly by myself but i have already got a 9'x7'x2' whole cleared out. Ill get some picks up later but i want to get more done before sun down.

Any suggestions on filtration and pumps?

Lookin at a 10,000 gph pump under the pond and that being pumped to either a tank or the 150 gal pond which will be behind the waterfall.

I'll try to find the thread, someone reclaimed am old in ground pool and it came out sweet.

you have to clear out mud and any over growth ever couple of months. I still like to use 55g drums with media for filtration on ponds, cheap, easy to maintain, and proven.

Alright that doesnt sound to bad then. And a 55 gallon drum will be easier to hide than a 150 gallon pond.

Well here are some pics so u guys can see whats going on.

This is what it looked like before
