3 aros + 73 neon tetras

went and got myself 73 neon tetras to test out if my jar + 2 silvers can live with them. so far no tetras have gotten eaten by the aros, but a couple of my dats decided to ignore the regular food and go for the new guys. death count is at 5 that ive seen myself... stranglers that decided to get brave and leave the pack.

just wanted to hear what you guys think how long the rest of the neon tetras would last... i figured the dats might get smart... but im hoping for the best. ive seen a nice set up similar to this and wanted to attempt it with my fish.
 
Lol I hope you didn't pay too much for those tetras! Good luck though. :D
 
paid almost $40 for all the tetras... ill post pics, but there isnt too much to see. all the tetras are just schooling with each other in one corner, the dats are all in another corner, and the aros are all in another corner. hahaha. i turned the lights on which is very rare. im trying to scare the dats and aros until the tetras get the some kind of an idea to stick together or you will get picked off.
 
Bought 20 neo's for $10 and intro them to my 4.5" silver. After first night, Deathcount: 15. After second night, +2. The rest made it for a couple of days.

all the smaller tigers hide behind the bigger ones. they get scared :nilly:

thanks a lot. ive been recently considering throwing in a very large piece of drift wood and a very very light amount of medium sized river rocks into the tank just because it seemed to... plain? haha. too lazy to get a back going on too.
