so i think i am in the clear but open to suggestions.I sold my 15inch jar and bought 3 baby's silvers. Of course there is some aggression one seems a little more dominate for the fact he is about 3/4 of a inch bigger then the others. They are around five to 6 each inch's the too smaller have a few battle wounds nothing bad a little bit of snipped fins and a scale here and there. I have had them for three weeks and they are happily eating three times a day. I put some plants that's float seem to distract them a bit here is the tank size and mates. I was thinking of add some metaflex to help them recover they don't seem to fight all the time just a snip here and there.

9x3x2 with a cpr overflow 1600gph
60g sump titanium heater uv sterilizer
two 6000 quite one pumps i think they are pumping out are 1500 - 1600gph
tank mates are
20 inch fire eel
8 inch Florida gar
school of ten discus around 7 to 9 inch each
and a 6 inch bichir
i was thinking of add five datnoids to distract the arrows and a tig with a L-014 pleco got to find one a nice size lol

if their current tank mates aren't distracting them enough to prevent fighting I doubt adding more will make a difference. Watch em closely... good luck

wow! those are crazy dimensions, do you have tank pics?

watch you gar as it my try to eat the smaller aros...i have the same combo and i have done the combo with both ends of the size rang with a larger aro and smaller gar and smaller aro with larger gar...my 17" fl gar reaction bit my 8" aro...aros have that fast strike witch triggers the gars reflex...

hmmm so far gar does not mind them at all but i see what u mean. As for feeding i have them chopping up frozen blood worms three times a day so belly's r nice and full. What if they were silver dat's if i remember right arrows get distracted by shine fish.

deeboi yes i know kinda weird sized tank will post pics asap

no mater what fish you put in the tank you will not distract them from the direct compitition they see...i had 8 redtail tinfoils in with mine and it didn't even know they were there...till they started eatting the red turds out of it ass...now that was funny...the aro would look back and be like...WTF...

hahaha well i think i could be in the clear did a water exchange and some more drift woulf and really tall plants seems to have calmed them down

tall/floating plants are great for young aros...they may not fight for a few days with the change, but they may start to nip again after they get used to the change...eventually from the sounds of these aros they will be fine together...
