Thought I'd ask these three questions in the same thread.

I am moving my geckos to plastic bins.

1) I heard that once you stick them once, heat mats will lose their adhesivnese. So would it be good to just tape them on to the bins?

2) Would heat mats melt through plastic bins?

3) This one is kinda stupid but.. Could my geckos get lonely if they were put in seperate bins? They've been together for a month and by the time I move them, 2 months. I wouldn't want them to get stressed because they don't have each other anymore.

1. idk never kept reptiles
2. depends what type of plastic
3. maybe

1. might break the heatpad
2. nope. your using a thermostat right? without one your heat pads can get in excess of 120F and burn your reptiles. otherwise it shouldn't melt the plastic bins, their what most reptiles are bred it.
3. nope

1. yes, I have tape on one of my heat pads, it just doesn't stick as well.
2. you should be okay, I dont think that it will melt anything, if it does, there is something wrong.
3. geckos are solitary animals in the wild, it is fine to keep them solitary in captivity too.

Not 100% True.. many Geckos do well with Multiple geckos in an Area

I was told that My Bibron Gecko and My Flying Geckos like large Communities

From
http://academic.sun.ac.za/capeherp/cederberg/bibronsgecko.htm

"Bibron's gecko is one of the largest geckos in southern Africa. It is also one of the most common geckos in the dry western parts of the country. It is well-known to farmers, as it finds farmhouses and outbuildings particularly attractive to live in. It is, however, often regarded a nuisance as its faecies and urine sticking to the walls may become an eyesore. Bibron's gecko is gregarious and often lives in large groups of up to 15 individuals. Little is known of the social structure in these groups."

Most Information is just generically past from person to person with true reasearch
