Hi All,

Just wanted to share a quick pic of my new 3'' blue diamond Rhom. I bought it from Massive Aggression Canada. It arrived in real good shape and ate 20 mins after being put in it's new home. Thanks Ryan.

Ah, You're lucky, you get to go see them...I'm jealous:)
I agree they are vicious little buggers. Do you know at what size the blue really starts to kick in? Thanks,
Mike

well my guy has just hit about the 4" mark. im definitely noticing the blue below his lateral line on his side. it is improving, but still not fully there. so i would say the blue really starts to kick in around 6-8", but im not sure.

i DO know that my rhom is just starting to get some of his diamond scales....u can see them starting in this picture. those werent there two weeks ago!

Wow that's some good growth. That's what I thought too was about the 6-8'' mark for the color to be more dominant. I'm glad you're little guy is doing so well. What are you offering him? I'm soo happy I finally got one. They are amazing as adults. I'm gonna keep a sharp eye for the flecks to start appearing on mine.

i originally fed him prawns...but read that its better to wait till they are a bit bigger to feed prawns (i assume because they are very rich).

right now the base of his diet is tilapia and some other white fish fillets, but today i fed him some earthworms and he went crazy!

im also starting to notice that as he goes under the light you can notice the blue sheen in the tail and dorsal fins

Great Rhoms guys.
Since mine is about the same size, I'm going to take this oppritunity to throw a pic up of mine.
