3 Fluval 405's or 2 fx5's or combo?

Ok, so this is ONLY about the combination of the following filter's to go on a 180 gal. African Cich tank, stock/bio load to be med. load i.e. not light & not packed. Filter brand type is not for this discussion thank you. 3 Fluval 405's or 2 fx5's or any combination there in w/ no more than a total of 3 filter's & please give all rationalizations, thank you all.

I'd go two FX5's just because it will give your more bio filtering since it has larger chambers and more GPH almost 3 times as much as the 405. even one FX5 would be better by itslef then two fo the 405's

Hey, thanks PMK, I just get paranoid sometimes, thinking bck up, bck up, bck up, yes that would be a bck up to my bck up, I know a little anal OCD. Not that I have ever had the need w/ any fluval, but it's just that what if feeling. Would still love to hear what the rest of ya's think or is it unanimous already & PMK is the sole bidder & winner, winner chicken dinner. So why am I the only 1 ..........

i use 2 fx5s on my 180 and it works well.
go with the fx5s

Normally I would thank all of you individually but not feeling so well right now, I don't want to seem inconsiderate of all of you sharing your time & thought's w/ me, so thank you all very much. Anyone else who can share their opinion please don't forget I'm as curious to hear the reason behind your thought's of the filtration setup of these filter's, then how many filter's only. I need to be thorough about what will be accomplished w/ setting up this filtration sys. so as not to end up w/ the shoulda, woulda, coulda game w/ myself. All my setups have always included a UGF & pwrhd's, which I'm strongly considering changing ( sand substrate primary change going in a new 180 ) & after doing something for sooooooo long, fighting successful complacency becomes a must to accomplish a positive change. Thanks again & anyone else so inclined, please don't hesitate to share, hopefully benefiting more than just myself in the future.
